Bulldog Scavenger Hunt
The Bulldog Scavenger Hunt was designed as an engaging assignment to locate all the Bulldogs on the campus of South Carolina State University. With the help of Kizoa, I was able to create a short presentation, enjoy!
The Sky is the Limit for Skyler.
Not every college student has their college choice destined for them. Even though South Carolina State University wasn't Skyler's force choice she was destined to attend the university.Skyler has had multiple member of her family graduate from SC State and most recently her older brother Jaylen in 2015. As a native of Columbia, South Carolina, Skyler wasn't too far from home when she decided to commit her student career to SC State. Skyler now knew where she would get her collegiate education but didn't know what she would get it in.
At Ridge View High School in Columbia South Carolina she was in the School of the Arts Program all 4 years as a dancer as well as on the step team at the school for all 4 years. Performing was what she gravitated too naturally. You can say she's been performing since 1996. Upon arriving at South Carolina State, Skyler tried out for the Champagne Dance Team where she made the team but do to unforeseen circumstances it didn't work out the way she planned but she still had the mindset for entertainment.
As a graduating Mass Communications senior with a concentration in Broadcasting. Skyler has goals of going into the entertainment industry. She knew from early on she wanted to do nothing within the field of news.
Throughout Skyler's matriculation here at South Carolina State she has served as the Editor-in-Chief of Stated magazine as well as writer, a member of Vervé, and has worked as an office assistant to the dean of graduates and professional studies.
As she approaches graduation from SC State, you can say the sky is the limit for Skyler.

Blending Photos
As apart of the, "Where I want to Be" project I used my participation in the ROTC Bulldog Battalion as my selected green screen photo. With the assistance of Mr. Harwood and Adobe Premiere Po I was able to follow steps to edit the photo.
1. Open Adobe Premiere Pro to a new project and name the project
2. In Premiere Pro, go at top to File then Import 3. Import the both the Green Screen photo or video and what will become its background
image, whether a still shot or video
4. Drag the background shot in V1 in the Storyboard
5. Then drag the Green Screen still or clip to the V2 channel in the Storyboard
6. If you are using still shots for this project, make the Storyboard clips smaller by double
clicking on them in the preview/program screen
a. Blue boxes will appear around the image- grab corner to resize; click on blue
line on side to move the green screen image within the background image
7. Use the drag bar at the bottom left of the Storyboard to adjust the length of clips
8. Next, to top toolbar and click on Windows
9. In the Windows drop down menu, go to Effects
10. The Effects tools will appear in the lower left part of the screen
11. Scroll down to Keying in the Effects menu
12. Click on Keying then in that menu list double click on Ultra Key
13. Ultra Key menu will open under Effects Control to the left of the View Box
14. When going to Ultra Key, in the Timeline click on the interview in Video 2 (not the
background image)
15. Click on the dropper icon to the right of Key Color
16. Then click in the Green Screen area of your image- click the dropper in the green area,
not on the image that you want to superimpose over the background
17. The two images should now be blended
18. To change the size of your Green Screen image, click on Motion in the Effect Control
Ultra Key box
19. Can again double click on the “inside” image to move and resize
20. While doing this make sure you are clicked on your Green Screen image in the
Storyboard
21. If video clip or photo is not filling the program/preview screen, right click on the clip in
the storyboard and click on “scale to frame size” to make image fill the screen
22. Add text to your project- go to top, click title---new title---then default still- name title
but it is not the wording that will appear with your image
23. Title screen opens- click within this screen to write (make sure the cursor in the
storyboard is at the point where title will go
24. Type wording then select font style
25. Make font size smaller or larger by changing font size number from 100- put in larger
number to make size bigger; smaller number to make smaller
26. Use move arrow tool to position text/titling where you want it to go
27. Click out of the titling/text screen- what you wrote is saved in the scene bin
28. Place title in Video Channel 3 in the storyboard
29. To save or render an image such as a blended green screen project, click the small
camera icon at the bottom right of the program/preview screen
30. New screen opens to name image, locate where to save it, and click jpeg also

Pinterest was founded by Ben Sibermann, Paul Sciarra, and Evan Sharp in March 2010. The company is headquarter in San Francisco, California. The current CEO is Ben Sibermann. Pinterest is a social media site where users make online pin-board that seek their particular interest. People use Pinterest as a way to share content such as fashion, recipes, home-remedies, etc. Business are using the site as a way a product catalog so customers can say which products they prefer/like from that business. Essentially it's a way for the business to network in a marketing manner.
The United States Army utilities Pinterest to display military style clothing, workout regiments, rank structures, and also a recruiting tool for potential candidates. I believe the United State Army Pinterest page isn't all that beneficial due to their lack of followers compared to other social medias such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
I created three boards simply based of personal interest. As a member of the military I pinned the United States Army just to represent an organization I'm apart of. I pinned fashion because outside of uniform I have an interest in men's fashion and different styles. The NFL was pinned because who doesn't love the NFL, it's the best time of the year.
I think Pinterest is target towards older social media users more so than college students just because of the overall purpose of Pinterest.

Think of Twitter as a blogging website but a live mini version that allows you to connect with people from across the world sharing thoughts and ideas through what is called tweeting. Twitter was one of the most clever forms of social media due to the instant posting from users all over the world. There isn't anyone you can't follow on twitter from celebrities to athletes to even personal icons.
Jack Dorsey created twitter to enable text messaging to have a cross platform capacity, work on phone, computers and other devices. Twitter's value is in the billions as a platform that was started as free social messaging tool. The twitter bird is a mountain bird with a little bit of humming bird added in. The bird symbolizes a representation of freedom, hope and limitless possibility according to former creative director of twitter Doug Bowman. Twitter has grown to become apart of the mainstream over the course of the last 11 years as an outlet for news, sports and pop culture updates.
People I follow on twitter are other college students of South Carolina State University to stay updated with whats going on with the student life on campus. Followers such as Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey tweet inspirational and motivational quotes.
Twitter continues to expand its brand as users continue to tweet millions of tweets daily.

Linked is a social media platform established for business and employment oriented goals of networking. The platform is used for searching for employment opportunities and as an employer recruitment tool. Any and everyone trying to expand their professional network has a a LinkedIn.
There are many features that can be utilized on the site such as the recommender and endorser. This feature allows for individuals to give you accreditation on previous employment and skills. The professional gallery is essentially your resume but a short hand copy of it, to showcase previous work experiences.
Xavier Black a biology senior at Claflin University, also one of my connections professional galley is well presented and articulated about his skills and assets he can bring to a company. His profile picture could be better even though he is professionally dressed in the photo, his eyes are closed.
On my Linked site the goal is to convert a college student with a vast amount of experience in the field of communication essentially enough to earn an entry level portion at a marketing/ PR firm upon graduation

Journalist Vs. Public Relations (PR)
When it comes to the battle of Public Relations (PR) and Journalists
it’s like a love hate relationship. Depending on what the topic of the
discussion is all depends on what side of the table they are sitting on. If a story
being covered is going against the reputation of one of their clients, is what
is called a, “PR Nightmare.” It doesn’t matter if the journalist’s story is
true or false in regard to the clients it’s the PR’s job to make that clients
shine even in the darkest corners of the room. Managing reputations is what
they do it’s their purpose to influence the public opinion of their client by
any media means necessary. The conflict occurs when a journalist conduct
research on a story and publishes a story that is newsworthy to the public but
damaging to the client of a PR, but not all journalistic stories are negative in
the public eye. Some story can in fact help the PR’s job by building the
reputation of the client. A journalist depending on the market is typically
larger than a PR’s because of the media outlets of choice. Their relationship is
like night and day it all depends on the
battle.
